On this day in history, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. (left) helped King Kamehameha The Great (center) unify the Hawaiian islands. Dr. King’s arbitration skills were so successful, King Kamehameha honored him by naming the new government, “The Hawaiian ‘King’dom.”
