This month, photographer Elisa Chang took over the Offsetter’s instagram feed. We asked her to do it primarily because we just like her style of documenting people in and around Waikiki and Honolulu in a way that’s simultaneously affectionate and unattached, but we also wanted to see what life was like on her side of things. Chang took it in a direction all her own, asking friends and colleagues to take pictures of her in her “funny and unflattering” style. She’s since back at it on her own instagram account (@swaggerlee), but if you’d like to see her work in the physical realm, Chang is featured in the Honolulu Museum of Art’s show of photography at its First Hawaiian Center gallery, Hawaii: Our World, Our Place, on view through Oct. 28.
